Lisa Spangler Replaces Raquel Pa’aluhi; Invicta FC 31 Adds Eighth Bout

Kansas City, Mo.ย โ€” The fight card for Invicta FC 31 is complete.

Former bantamweight title challenger Raquel Pa’aluhi (6-6) has been forced off the card due to injury and will be replaced by Invicta FC veteran Lisa “The Strangler” Spangler (2-0). Spangler, who made her professional debut at Invicta FC 29, will welcome fellow undefeated fighterย Shanna Young (4-0) to the promotion.

Also added to the fight card is a flyweight match-up betweenย Miranda Maverick (3-1) and Victoria Leonardo (2-0). Missouri’s Maverick makes a quick turnaround after competing at Invicta FC 30 in July. Leonardo, who hails from Louisiana, has quickly earned two victories after turning pro earlier this year.

Invicta FC 31 takes placeย Saturday, Sept. 1, from the historic Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. It will be headlined by a strawweight title clash between Braziliansย Virna Jandiroba (13-0) and Janaisa Morandin (10-1). The event willย stream live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. CT.

Sarah Kleczka Replaces Yaya Rincรณn, Invicta FC 29 Lineup Finalized

Kansas City, Mo.ย โ€” The fight card for Invicta FC 29 is now complete.

The event, which takes place fromย the historic Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday, May 4, will feature a total of eight bouts.

Undefeated bantamweight Sarahย Kleczka (2-0), who made a successful professional debut at Invicta FC 25 last August, steps in to replace California’s Yaya Rincรณn against promotional newcomer Lisa Spangler (0-0). The American Top Team Tampa productย Kleczka picked up her second career victory this past weekend, scoring a first-round armbar finish of Natalie King.

Additionally, the Invicta debut of 18-year-old Croatian flyweight Adriana Vukoviฤ‡ (0-0) has been pushed back to a future event.

Invicta FC 29 will be headlined by a bantamweight title tilt between Canadian Sarah Kaufman (19-4, 1 NC) and German fighterย Katharina Lehner (7-0).ย The night’s co-main event also takes place in the bantamweight division asย Iranian-Swedish fighter Pannie Kianzad (8-3) welcomes Brazilianย Bianca Daimoni (7-2) to the promotion. The event willย stream live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. CT.

Four Fighters Join Invicta FC Roster, Including Isis Verbeek and Luanna Alzuguir

Kansas City, Mo.ย โ€” Invicta Fighting Championships has signed four new athletes to its roster.

Joining the atomweight division will be GLORY Kickboxing veteran Isis Verbeek (0-0). With more than 50 combined Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts, the 23-year-old Dutchwoman will make her professional MMA debut inside the Invicta cage. She’s faced many of the world’s best strikers, including current GLORY champion Anissa Meksen.

Bolstering the 125-pound division will be Brazil’sย Luanna Alzuguir (0-0). A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, the 32-year-old is a five-time world champion and an ADCC gold medalist. She earned a third-round submission victory overย Brittney Cloudy in her lone amateur MMA bout.

Lisa Spangler (0-0) is the latest addition to the bantamweight division. Dubbed “The Strangler,” she has amassed a record of 9-1 as an amateur, including five finishes by strikes. Fighting out of Gracie Barra in Portland, the 22-year-old Spangler has shared the cage with Invicta veteran Kal Schwartz.

Finally, Croatia’s Adriana Vukoviฤ‡ย (0-0) is the youngest fighter to sign with the promotion. At just 18 years of age, Vukoviฤ‡ย has already compiled an amateur record of 6-0-1. Training out of Tristar MMA, the flyweight has won numerous amateur titles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing and MMA.

Look for all four fighters to debut inside the Invicta FC cage in 2018.
